I just got my new Lifesource whole-house water system-I am super excited, their presale is excellent and this product is highly recommended.
Is it better to get a plumber to install it or have a water softener guy put it in ?

Good luck with that, I have absoluteley no faith in the Lifesource and their Beotron magic PVC pipe that is filled with sand and wire being able to soften your water at all.
Get a plumber or a water softener guy to put it in for you,but make sure that they are properly licensed in your jursidiction and peform a code-compliant installation.

I was as a little girl, but my hubby & I live in San Antonio TX now.
Our water is EXTREMELY HARD, we have spots on everything and no lather in shower-bad laundry also.

The water smells and tastes MUCH better than the city water but its not doing what I thought it would at all. I have spots on my shower, the dishwasher doesn't make clean dishes and the laundry isn't so good. Any ideas, guys?
